OBITUARY
Bernard "Barny" Darrenkamp, flower delivery expert, and award winning children's baseball coach died Sunday, January 28th in his home in Harrisburg, PA. He was 67.
Mr. Darrenkamp lovingly referred to as Barny worked for Royer's Flower and Gifts in Harrisburg as a delivery man for 17 years. After that he continued to deliver flowers for another 6 years with Garden Path Flowers and Gifts. He also delivered the papers for Patriot News.
Barney enjoyed coaching and mentoring not only in baseball, but basketball as well.
Barny is preceded in death by his parents Bernard C. Darrenkamp, and Lois Darrenkamp. Surviving family include: loving wife Mary Ann Darrenkamp, sisters in law Sharon and Tina, brother Andy, and nieces Brooklyn and Trisha.
Services celebrating the life of Bernard Darrenkamp will be held at 10 am February 14th, at Church of Living Waters, which is located at PA-235, Millerstown, PA 17062. Flowers and condolences are welcome.
