Charles Lamont Pitts
Charles LaMont Pitts, 65, of Lower Paxton Township, entered into eternal rest while at the Community General Osteopathic Hospital on Thursday, May 22, 2014. He was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Charles Pitts and the late Annabelle S. Anderson.
Educated in the Harrisburg School District, he graduated from John Harris High School, Class of 1966. Charles was previously employed by the Olivetti-Underwood Company and attended Welders School, Johnstown. He loved writing poetry and attended Dr. Nathaniel Gadsden’s Writer’s Workshops.
Charles leaves to celebrate his life 3 sisters, Emily A. Pitts, Alice Pitts-McArthur (Stanley) and Darlene M. Burrell, all of Harrisburg; a dedicated friend, Jimmy Jones of Harrisburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.
His life will be celebrated at 12 Noon, Thursday, May 29th, at Wallace Funeral Directors with viewing/visitation from 11 A.M. to Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 N. 17th Street. Harrisburg, PA 17103.
